Seminole Tribe Water Department Recognized for OT Cyber Certs
September 26, 2024
The Seminole Tribe of Florida was recognized for its leadership in its public works department with several of its staff earning the ASP OT Cybersecurity Specialist certification. The certification, the only one of it's kind, is recognized by the Florida Department of Education and the US Department of Labor.

White House recognizes ASP

Washington, D.C. - ASP recognized by White House, Departments of Labor, Defense and Commerce during the Whitehouse 120-Day Cybersecurity Sprint. Recognition was for development of the OT Cybersecurity Specialist program ASP created to upskill critical infrastructure workers across the U.S. The Sprint was developed as a result of activity from the National Cyber Workforce and Education Summit.

ASP Interviewed on “A Business Minute” about OT Cybersecurity

Explaining the difference between operational technology cybersecurity and IT cybersecurity, Melissa Boutwell of ASP, Inc. told “A Business Minute” that the State of Florida recently worked with local municipalities and agencies to dramatically increase verified certifications among critical infrastructure staff operating the state’s water systems, school districts and related infrastructure. Boutwell discussed the Fortifying Florida OT Cybersecurity Specialist program, saying that she encourages other states to implement a similar approach.
