Florida’s Department of Management Services scaled OT cybersecurity skills across the state’s critical infrastructure in 90 Days using the USF OT Certification Platform managed by ASP
What Florida Achieved
The Department of Management Services took the lead role in clarifying an ideal statewide solution for the public workforce.
The ideal remedy would enable local and state entities to OPT IN to a statewide initiative and participate from any of Florida’s 67 counties without travel.
The initiative needed to run itself and not add to the work of state employees.
Enrolled participants were to be assessed, upskilled, cross-trained and certified in 17 competencies accepted by state and federal accreditation bodies.
A pilot project to enroll public workers across 67 counties was commissioned through the University of South Florida Platform in collaboration with the Department of Management Services, Cyber Florida, Florida Digital Services and the Department of Education.
